✨Stop falls by treating vertigo!✨ ✨Have you or anyone you know ever had vertigo😵💫? It can be very scary! Most people describe vertigo as a spinning sensation of themselves or the room. I’ll be very brief in this post, it’s subject I could talk about for hours 🤓!✨ ✨Did you know that specialized physical therapists can treat the most common type of vertigo quickly and easily? As a physical therapist certified in vestibular rehabilitation and concussion management I have to say the most common type of vertigo is typically the fastest recovery process I see!✨ ✨The treatment process above is one of the oldest, most reliable techniques called the Epley maneuver. There are TONS of variations of treatment for vertigo and this can easily be modified depending on the patient’s level of activity or how bad the symptoms are.✨ ✨Overall, the faster you get treatment for vertigo (from an MD and PT who specialize in vestibular/vertigo issues) the easier the symptoms are to treat! Fast treatment also decreases the risk of developing chronic vertigo related issues including falls and avoiding activities due to fear of vertigo symptoms or falling.✨ #vertigo #vestibular #physicaltherapy #dizziness #healthjourney *This video is for demo purposes only! I had to cut it down to make it Instagram reel friendly😄! The individual in the video does not currently have vertigo so there are a lot of modifications I would do depending on the symptoms of the patient. As always, if you have serious medical concerns please reach out to a medical provider. *
